Hi, POPMAK uses makhana / fox nut as its main ingredient. Makhana is basically a dry fruit which is having rich nutritional values.
The seeds of makhana are used in Ayurveda preparations. Makhana alleviates Vata and Pitta Dosha. It strengthens the heart and is very useful in anemia. It is an important ingredient of many herbal preparations. it strengthens body and increases energy level. Because of its aphrodisiac properties it is grouped under "Vrishyadi Varga". The herbs under this group are used in Vajikarana therapy.

The texts of Ayurveda describe properties of foxnut or makhana as follows:

"makhana snigdhavrishyam cha garbhasamsthapakam param |
Vatapitta haram balyam sheetam pittasradaahanut ||"

All the POPMAK Variants(Flavors) are100% roasted. In complete process of Popmak making we use very little amount of sunflower oil during flavoring.
